About Us

Amazing flavors await you right in the heart of the French Quarter on the third block of Chartres Street at 3RD BLOCK DEPOT Kitchen + Bar! Make your way the few short blocks from Bourbon Street, Canal Street, Jackson Square or the Mississippi River for Chef Nick Ocheltrees' delicious modern Creole!

The Location

The Vieux Carre, the crown jewel of New Orleans, founded in 1718, is one of the most transportive places in the country. The French Quarter is mysterious, enchanting and some say haunted by spirits of its European past.

Drawing on the energy from the Vieux Carre, 3rd Block Depot offers authentic Big Easy flavors that mix the past with the present in every bite.

3 Blocks From...

The Mississippi River - aka Old Man River, the second largest river in North America

Jackson Square -  The site of the Louisiana Purchase, a historic, bustling public park once known as the Place d'Armes

Canal Street - a 171 foot thoroughfare originally intended to be a canal to divide the Creole side and the American side of the city in the 1800s; known today for entertainment, shopping and, of course, one of the best places along the city's parade route

Bourbon Street - Rue Bourbon is 13 blocks of decadence and one of the most famous (if not infamous) streets in the world, where you can indulge in food, spirits, music and dancing

On the 3rd Block Of Chartres Street -  (CHART-ers) rich with history, old-world architecture and boutiques, Chartres is one of the most charming streets in the Quarter.

The Food

3rd Block Depot's Chef Nick Ocheltree puts his spin on Creole/Cajun cuisine in each delectable dish, From Boudin + Cracklins and Cajun Gumbo to Gulf Shrimp Ceviche and Po'Boys.

The twists on the classics, always on the menu, complement Chefs regular seasonal specials that take advantage of the local New Orleans markets!
